Sharon Ashinze
Sharon Ashinze is a management information systems expert and strategist. She started off her career as a banker, moving on to start her own business. She is the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Vertiline Synergy Ltd, a renowned hospitality consulting and solutions company. Since its establishment in 2010, Vertiline Synergy Ltd has garnered a stellar reputation in Dubai, Lagos, and Abuja, offering innovative services and pioneering solutions within the hospitality sector. Sharon, with an extensive background which includes degrees, certifications and over 12 years experience in strategic planning and operations management, has emerged as a dynamic force in the hospitality industry as a seasoned strategist and chief operating officer. As chief operating officer of Vertiline Synergy (which she co-founded), Sharon has played pivotal roles in the structuring and re-structuring of dozens of SMEs in the hospitality industry. Her exceptional skills in optimizing operational efficiency and fostering business growth in the field has earned her awards and accolades, cementing her reputation as a respected industry professional. Sharon’s philanthropic endeavours has spanned over 15 years, reflecting her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. She is the co-founder of Golden Little Lights Organization, an influential NGO. From its official launch in 2018, Golden Little Organization has provided meals for over 5000 children and their families across Nigeria. Through Initiatives such as The Prison Reform Project (which has so far facilitated the release of 6 wrongfully incarcerated individuals), The Feeding Initiative, The Back-to-School Initiative and The Annual Christmas and Children's Day Party for 500 Underprivileged Children, Sharon's organization has provided critical support and hope to thousands of individuals and families.
Abiola Adelana
Abiola Adelana is the Tourism and Creative Art Business Head at Sterling Bank, where she is responsible for revitalizing the tourism business in Nigeria and establishing sustainable financial models to support the growth of domestic tourism. With over 15 years of experience in risk management, strategy, and retail banking, she brings a wealth of expertise and vision to the industry. She is a trained economist from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University and holds an MBA in Finance. Abiola has also completed the Executive Education Programme on Sustainable Business at Harvard Business School. A member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and an Associate Member of the Association of Women Bankers in Nigeria, she serves on the Domestic Tourism and Economic Development Working Committee for Nigeria, coordinated by the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation. Abiola is deeply passionate about using her skills and training to build strong structures that will position local tourism as a major contributor to Nigeria’s GDP. Under her leadership, the Tourism Business Desk at Sterling Bank has earned multiple national and international awards, becoming the first financial institution in Nigeria to recognize and actively promote the potential of domestic tourism.
